The great Zip car research has come to the end. I bought a car previous weekend after four years at car hire Tampa using Zip car.
In general a pretty high-quality experience; you drive decent-enough cabs for reasonable charge, without worrying about all that preservation stuff. That said, some caveats:
1. It is hard to get unprepared reservations at weekend, especially in the summer
2. You must absolutely have to factor in additional time for traffic. If you’re pouring anytime other than the weeknight after eight pm
3. If you’ve gone over your time, then they immobilize the cab. You then call to get them for re-activating it. If this occurs in an ‘off-peak’ occasion e.g. Sunday nights, late night of a vacation, you can waste your precious time by waiting to get to someone. It’s true, you should not be late, but it is a little impractical and draconian when you’re frustrating to get the siding car back anyways.
4. Zip car at cheap car rentals Boston will be best suited to citizens who desire to get to grocery store, run every day jobs etc. If at all you do a bundle of weekend trips that can quickly adds up. We have been doing a bunch more trips this most recent year & it became apparent which we were spending lot – spending 300 dollars per month at average. This is typically using the cheaper cabs too.
5. They could be dicks if at all you arrive back discovering some fucker has unlawfully taken your Zip cars parking room. I was trained to ‘find a breathing space nearby & call us at the location’. At Central Sq? At a Sunday night?
Anyhow, overall a first-class idea, well performed and well run, yet just is conscious at car rental Buffalo of the above points.
